Location: Wisconsin Conservatory of Music
Join the Conservatory Big Band. Play classic charts by Basie, Ellington and Bob Mintzer under the direction of David Bayles. Focus will be on reading and ensemble skills. During the second week, Grammy award winning jazz trumpet great Brian Lynch will be on hand to offer his expertise. Students must audition for placement during Jazz Camp auditions. Preference will be given to those musicians who participate in Jazz Camp.
Merit scholarships and financial aid are available; be sure to inquire at the placement hearing.
