In her MFA thesis concert, May presents two dances that demonstrate the scope of her work over the past three years. Gutter Gate(2011) blends and dilutes sections of the dance to deconstruct notions of craft and composition—while Commentary=Not thing (premiere) reveals a starker, more desperate emotional palette.
