July 14, 2011 Liability Waiver
By registering online you are agreeing to the terms below. All registrants will be asked to sign this waiver when picking up their race packet. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present when picking up their race packet who can sign the waiver.
Terms and Conditions of participating in the Storming of the Bastille: In consideration of my entry in the Storm the Bastille Run/Walk on July 14, 2011, I, intending to be legally bound for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, do hereby release and forever discharge the East Town Association, Inc. and Open Road Events, their officers, directors and members, the City and County of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, all sponsors and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents jointly and separately from any liability or claims for any injury or illness which I sustain during my participation in the event or which is in any way related to this event. I represent that I have adequately trained for and have been warned I must be in good health to participate in this event. I recognize that risks of injury accompany such participation and acknowledge that this release is being relied upon by the above persons permitting me to enter. Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion picture recording or any record of this event for any purpose.
BASTILLE DAYS FACTS
Bastille Days celebrates its 31st anniversary in 2012.
The first Bastille Days took place July 17 & 18 in 1982.
The first Bastille Days was located on Jefferson Street directly in front of George Watts & Son.
The Storm the Bastille started in 1985.
Today Bastille Days has four stages and occupies eight city blocks.
Average participation in the Storm the Bastille is now over 5,000.
