Please join us for the Milwaukee Firkin Craft Beer Festival on July 21st at Cathedral Square Park, in the heart of Downtown Milwaukee. Firkin Fest is Milwaukee’s preeminent beer tasting event and features over 80 craft beers to sample from Milwaukee breweries as well as guest beers from around the country! New this year will also be a Cask Tasting Tent, featuring 10+ all cask conditioned barrels, or firkins, where you’ll have the chance to taste beer as it was produced 100 years ago. Also, enjoy live music from some of Milwaukee’s finest musicians!
This year, we've expanded the event to be much more than just a beer festival. Firkin Fest is a celebration of Milwaukee brewing heritage: past, present & future. See below for details!
Beer Tasting- Firkin Fest is Milwaukee’s preeminent beer tasting event. There will be 14 local Milwaukee craft breweries on hand sampling their best and newest creations in addition to guest breweries from around the state and county on hand sampling some of their tastiest brews. In total, guests will have 80+ craft beers to choose from.
Cask/Firkin Tent- Firkin Fest will of course feature a cask tent/firkin tent where folks in attendance will be able to sample over 10 different craft beers as they were brewed 100 years ago. Cask ale or cask-conditioned beer is the term for unfiltered and unpasteurised beer which is conditioned and served from a cask without additional nitrogen or carbon dioxide pressure.
Breweriana- Firkin Fest will feature an extensive breweriana exhibit. Breweriana commonly refers to any article containing a brewery name or brand name. Examples include beer cans, bottles, openers, tin signs, coasters, beer trays, wooden cases and neon signs, etc..
