2-Time Grammy Winner Wings' Guitarist, Laurence Juber Workshop at Wisconsin Conservatory
The Conservatory Welcomes Former Wings Guitarist Laurence Juber for an Exciting Fingerstyle Master Class Tuesday, May 15 at 7:30pm!
Beatles, Wings and Six Strings Guitar Master Class covers arranging and performing for Fingerstyle Guitar and encourages a musical approach to the guitar with technique and performance skills integrated organically into the presentation. Topics covered include: articulating a 'singing' melody; developing texture, bass-lines, harmonies and voicing; finding the "groove." Altered tunings and fresh ways of looking at standard tuning are explored, using examples from the Beatles, Pop and Standard repertoire, as well as familiar traditional melodies and Laurence Juber's own compositions.
There is an emphasis on both left and right hand fingering in regard to tone production and technical efficiency. Lots of useful information, interactivity and fun! Knowledge of theory is not essential.
Join us in the Helen Bader Recital Hall for this exciting master class!
$5.00 general admission at the door / Free for Conservatory students
