East Town Reveals Logo

Downtown’s East Town Association brands new image for district

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (March 31, 2011) – The East Town Association, a non-profit downtown Milwaukee business organization best known for the coordination of Jazz in the Park and Bastille Days, has launched a new brand for the district.  The new mark was revealed at the East Town Association’s Annual Meeting in January; however, signs of the identity will begin appearing next month.

By mid-April, the East Town Association will have a newly redesigned website with mapping capabilities to allow users to match destinations with nearby shopping and dining, as well as access discounts and promotions.  New street banners will also wave above member businesses beginning this summer.

Businesses and residences within the district are located within the boundaries of Water Street to Prospect Avenue and Clybourn Street to Ogden Avenue.   “The new East Town logo represents the energy within our community,” said Kevin Behl, president of the East Town Association.  “We’re bordered by a beautiful riverwalk and a stunning lakefront, and surrounded by the area’s best shopping, dining and entertainment.  The energy that flows from these entities is why our neighborhood rivals some of the best urban centers.”

The new sweeping “e” logo replaces the organization’s old skyline logo.  Color palettes of the new logo include blues and greens to incorporate East Town’s access to water and abundance of green space, including the anchoring Cathedral Square Park where many of the organization’s events are held.
