M&I Storm the Bastille Early Registration NOW OPEN

Register Early To Storm the Bastille for a chance to win 2 AirTran Tickets!

Run through the streets of Downtown Milwaukee with 4,000 of your closest friends! Runners and walkers kick off Bastille Days with the annual M&I Storm of the Bastille 5K Run/walk, in honor of the 18th century attack on the Bastille prison in Paris. The 5-K run and 2-mile walk will take place on opening night of the festival, July 12th at 9pm. This year's 5K run/walk will begin on North Jefferson Street, adjacent to Cathedral Square Park. The course will lead participants through the scenic streets of downtown Milwaukee & the Historic Third Ward.

If you register between November 11- December 31, 2011 you will be entered to win 1-pair of Air Tran Tickets! Restrictions apply. (To/From Any Domestic AirTran Airways Destination. All travel must be completed by March 31, 2012.)

Advance Registration (Nov. 11-July 11)- $20
Race Day Registration (July 12)- $30
Race Day Registration is located at the intersection of Jefferson & Wells and takes place from 11am-8pm.

A commemorative M&I Storm the Bastille long-sleeved T-shirt ias well as a race packet with goodies and race number will be provided to all registered runners. Participants should be reminded that the event is a fun run and times will not be officially recorded. After Storming the Bastille, stick around and enjoy Bastille Days' world-class enteretainment offered on four stages throughout the festival grounds.

3) Register in Person- The East Town Association offices (825 N. Jefferson St.) are open daily from 9am-5pm. Stop down anytime and register.

Packets will be available for pick-up July 9-11 at the East Town offices, 825 N. Jefferson St. If you would like to have your packet mailed to you. There is an additional $8 charge for shipping and deadline for shipping is June 25th. See application for details.

EASTTOWN FACTS

The East Town Association was officially incorporated in 1983, although it began in the early 1960’s.

The first Bastille Days took place July 17 & 18 in 1982 and we celebrate the 30th anniversary in 2011.

East Town Market celebrates 15 years in 2011 and over 80 vendors participate annually.

Jazz in the Park started in 1991, 21 years later we have over 8,000 weekly attendees.

The Storm the Bastille started in 1985. Today, over 5000 runners and walkers participate.

2011 marks the first year of adding Tuesday early evenings to the Market. Join us June through September on Tuesdays from 3-7pm.

November through May, check out the East Town Market at Discovery World on the 2nd Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.

The first Bastille Days was located on Jefferson Street directly in front of George Watts & Son, today Bastille Days has four stages and occupies eight city blocks.

Beginning in 2009, we no longer allow guests to carry in their own alcoholic beverages to any of our events, including Jazz in the Park. Support these free events and buy a glass of wine!
