2022 Storm the Bastille 5k

Associated Bank’s Storm the Bastille 5k is back!

Run through the streets of Downtown Milwaukee with 5,000 of your closest friends! Runners and walkers kick off Bastille Days with the annual Storm the Bastille 5K Run/Walk, in honor of the 18th century attack on the Bastille prison in Paris. The 5-K run and 2-mile walk will take place on opening night of the festival, July 14th at 9pm. This year’s 5K run/walk will begin on North Jefferson Street, adjacent to Cathedral Square Park. The course will lead participants through the scenic streets of downtown Milwaukee & the Historic Third Ward.

T-shirt and packet pickup will take place Monday, July 11 and Tuesday, July 12th from 4-7pm at 770 N Jefferson Street in the lower level.

Race Day Pickup Info:
7-9pm at white tent on the corner of Wells and Jefferson (by Taylors). Have your QR code ready.

Race Day Signup:
Your friends can still sign up on Raceday but we encourage to have them sign up ahead of time online so they can quickly just grab their bib and get ready for the event > https://runsignup.com/stormthebastille5k

Pins:
If you did not get safety pins, come to the tent and grab some. We will have plenty.

Runners:
Fast runners please make your way to the front. Average to slower runners please hang out in the back by cathedral square park and let the aggressive runners go first. Your timing starts when you cross the Start Line and ends when you cross the Finish line so there’s plenty of time to complete the race so you do not need to rush to the front.

Walkers:
Please hang out in the back by Cathedral square park and let the runners take off. Also if you plan to only walk half the race please make sure you end your race at Wells street and walk directly to the finish water, which will be located between Jefferson and Jackson just south of the park in the middle of the street. Avoid Mason Street (the finish line).

Start Line:
The start line will be on Jefferson street heading south.

Finish Line:
The finish line will be on Mason Street heading east.

Water:
There will be water locations on Broadway just over halfway through and then at the end on Wells street south of Cathedral Square park. Again walkers please go directly down Wells Street to your finish water and avoid Mason Street (finish line)

Parking:
We would suggest parking north of Ogden and walk south or west of Water street and walk east. BMO Tower is just a block from the festival and provides eight levels of state-of-the-art parking and great connectivity to downtown. The structure is fully enclosed with high-speed doors and 24/7 onsite security. Entrance to the parking structure is located at 771 N. Broadway.
